What the calculator counts
The result is the elapsed difference between midnight on each selected date. It does not include the starting day as a full elapsed day.
Example
From September 1 to September 8 is seven elapsed days, or exactly one week. To count both endpoints as included calendar days, add one to the result.
Why the calculation uses UTC
The dates are normalized to midnight UTC so daylight-saving changes do not accidentally add or remove an hour and distort the whole-day result.
